Point Atkinson

The tip of Lighthouse Park, Point Atikinson is the home to the most majestic and best known lighthouse on the north shores of Vancouver.

Another gem close to Vancouver and located in Lighthouse Park, the current lighthouse replaced the original 1874 structure in 1910. Bring your camera for some spectacular shots of the lighthouse and ocean. You can get pretty close to the lighthouse, but not quite all the way. A caretaker is still resident in the house adjacent to the lighthouse and watches over those graffiti mongers. The warmers months are always prettier - the caretaker does a great job taking care of the grounds and planting flowers.
