Sandy Cove Park

A gem - don't tell anyone - it's already busy enough. Great swims, tanning and privacy - but you won't find parking in mid summer!

Sandy Cove is a dear little beach nestled on the shores of West Vancouver. It is not an easy one to find - which is probably a good thing. The small Sandy Cove beach is quite sandy and faces south over English Bay. You will get sun from early to mid morning in summer through until late afternoon. The beach is enveloped by steep rocks on the west and east. There is a shady grassy space behind the beach for those seeking mid day shade.

The beach is best at mid tide - so do check the tide tables before you go. Sandy Cove is one of the best swimming beaches with a good beach gradient and a great view. You may also catch a glimpse of the resident seal who keeps an eye on the swimmers.
