Seymour Demonstration Forest

Seymour Demonstration ForestAn all age hit for biking, in line skating and walking. Hit the multi use 11km trail to the Seymour Dam. Picnic spots along the way to the dam and river. Cool your toes and chill on the river bed.

The Seymour Demonstration Forest allows fitness and recreation seekers a fine opportunity to bike, in-line and run for several kilometers through North Shore forest. Parking is a few kilometers North of Capilano University up a well maintained dirt access road.

Once parked, get or strap on your gear and hit the paved forest access road - it's about 11km one way to the Seymour Dam and river. The road can get quite steep - so do you know what you are doing if you are skating. You can find benches and toilets along the way. The river provides an opportunity to catch your breath and perhaps even for a shallow dunk.

There are several other dirt roads and trails through the forest. You can pick up a map at the parking lot. The Western roads provide access to Lynn Canyon and the East to Seymour Mountain.
